Backdrop drape at Matisse Nightclub, HaverfordwestMatisse Style Drapes

Commissioned nightclub blackout drapes for Matisse Music Venue.

Hand-painted canvas drapes designed and made as Roman blinds by the artist. The design is ‘after Matisse’ following the three nudes in Matisse’ paper-cut series. The original design was hand drawn and scaled up in outline then projected onto the canvases and individually hand painted before being made up into the blackout blinds. The venue’s rouched wool main stage canopy is also designed and manufactured by the artist.

Peace weave banner at Glastonbury FestivalPeace Weave

Woven rainbow peace flag design decorative arch.

Design concept created by Lotty Sykes. The ‘Peace Weave’ was hand woven on site at Glastonbury Festival by many hands. The artist who oversaw and contributed greatly to the weaving process formulated the design layout and process. The framework was made to measure and welded by Ronnie… The arch was hung over the gateway to the Craft Field in the Green Fields at Glastonbury Festival 2001.

Rainbow Guides bannerSt. David’s Rainbow Guides Banner

Commissioned work of fine detailed appliqué.

The banner was designed by the Rainbow Guides leaders and was then drawn to scale and manufactured by the artist. Each letter, picture and logo was individually produced as a drawing, then made into a pattern, transferred onto the separate fabrics, backed, assembled and then machine appliquéd onto the satin banner. Individually made satin ribbons were used to tie the banner to its poles.
